We recommend the use of Inofoam continually from the initial phase to the complete healing of a wound.
Inofoam absorbs exudates and prevents the secreting fluid from flowing out. It also prevents the sticking of wound, therefore, minimizes pain or bleeding when Inofoam is detached. Besides, because of its excellent waterproofing property, Inofoam prevents the inflammation, infection, and germ in filtration from outside.
If Inofoam is used right after the wound is made, it preserves appropriate
moisture, preventing the formation of the scab and helping there generation of cells. However, the existing scar is not expected to be removed.
Inofoam does not contain any analgesic or antibiotic. But as it provides wet environment an deserves as cushion on the skin, it reduces the pain at the wound.
If Inofoam is applied after the injured part is sewed, it helps the healing after the operation, minimizing the formation of scar.
If blistered around the wound, it is the most appropriate moisture environment. Cool down around the wound with cold water or an ice bag and dry the water. Inofoam can be attached over blisters if they are smaller than 2cm, but bigger blisters, thus a second infection is feared, have to be removed in advance.
Inofoam is recommended after removing scab. In most cases, scab can be easily removed by fully wetting it with water. If the removal is difficult, apply Inofoam after wetting it with a few drops of water.
If scab is formed in the course of healing, cells are generated only under the
scab, and a scar may be formed from the injury when the scab is removed.
It is most desirable to treat with Inofoam without applying ointment after cleansing the wound. However, for wounds already infected or requiring special treatment, be sure to get a doctor’s advice.
When pus is gathered at the wound by infection, use the product after washing away foreign elements at the wound with running water or saline solution to prevent infection.
